Park View Apartments

Park View Apartments, located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s North Shore, was undergoing a series of interior renovations after Faros Properties purchased the building. The challenge was to design a unique set of graphics to identify the public spaces and amenities within the building. Instead of identifying the rooms by name, we chose to use action terms that apply to each room, i.e. “Be Productive” and “Get Fit”. These identifying terms would be constructed in dimensional letters. These letters would be placed among a series of vinyl graphics. A vacuum sealed technique would be used to apply the vinyl to the brick, giving the appearance of a painted wall graphic at significantly less cost.

In addition to the room identity graphics, we were asked to design a set of graphics to be displayed on various walls within the building, to carry the ‘painted’ graphic elements throughout the space.
